You're not alone. Most Saturday mornings I spend a good hour giving myself coffee and a pep talk. That said, I have stopped telling myself that I have to get it ALL done. Take care of YOU.

Don't feel bad. I think the only thing wrong with you is that you're tired because teaching has become an exhausting job - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Take care of yourself.

Give yourself a break! You're in a new school and a new grade level, right? That's a lot! You deserve a rest on the weekend.

Have you thought about

the fact that maybe you are not sleeping well on nights when you have work the next day? There are many things you can do to improve your quality of sleep. Then maybe you won't need extra sleep on the weekend. Just a thought. I often had the same problem before I retired. I hope you have time for some fun soon.

I like to sleep in on the weekends too! Just think of sleeping in as something you can't wait to do!

I spend most of my weekend asleep! I just try to recover from a busy week.

Sleeping in is the #1 thing I look forward to on the weekend, even if I have fun plans too . Last night I fell asleep before midnight and I woke up at 1:30 PM today. I guess I really needed that sleep!

Glad to see I am not alone! I'm hoping once I get back into the swing of school (yeah, I know it's already been two months! ), I'll get better! It didn't help that we were on the road busy every weekend of September!
