Against my better judgment, I just had my first flu shot. I did it for others because of what I read here. I think it was Zia’s brave pic that pushed me hardest.

It is definitely the ugliest picture ever taken of me!

I appreciate you were motivated to do it for others as well as for yourself. I get the flu shot every year and still get the flu! Stupid, non-working immune system. Thank you.

Thank you, Amiga, for helping to protect your community--not to mention yourself.

My friend has had a double lung transplant and because of her anti-rejection medications, she's at risk for getting the flu. We all get flu shots to reduce our chances of getting the flu and protect her and other immunosuppressed folks.

Thanks for getting the flu shot to protect others. I'm also glad it will help protect you. They say flu is more dangerous for those of us over 65. You are loving retired life so much, I want you to have many healthy years to enjoy it! I know you are working hard to be as healthy as possible and you are doing so well

I hear allll the bad stories that no one else hears from the hospital. The ones they can’t tell. You’ll be glad you did it.

I got my shot last year- a couple hours later I passed out, broke my nose, got a ride to the hospital in the ambulance, ended up with 10 stitches, an EKG, a CAT scan, and a good sized bill. This isn’t the first time I have passed out after a flu shot, but was one of my more dramatic ones.

My dr told me he would prefer If I depend on herd immunity for a bit as long as I’m reasonably healthy.

So thank you!

Thank you for continuing to have discussions, I really couldn’t justify not getting one anymore. I did have flu symptoms two days later, but who knows. I’ve had several students with the 24 hour flu.
