Another Reason I Love Retirement

I've had a mild stomach bug and insomnia the past few days. It is nice not to rush around getting ready for school when you're under the weather. Yet another reason to adore retirement.

Yes, same here. A little under the weather and glad I donít have to worry about making it through the day or making sub plans. I can just read and relax! Hope you feel better soon!

That is so true. Itís nice, and way healthier, to be able to listen to your body and respond appropriately.

i definitely agree with you. I am not sick, but stayed up late last night watching the President's speech and the responses and commentary. I could do this knowing that I didn't have to get up early for work. It's also great when you aren't feeling well and do not have to think about sub plans at all. Today, I had a hair appointment at 10:00. No more having to deal with sandwiching it in between errands on Saturdays, which is great. And I love being able to cook during the week instead of doing my meal planning, shopping, prep and cooking on the weekends. Blessings of retirement for sure!

Not only that, but youíre going to find that youíll get sick much less often. I think Iíve only had one real cold since I left teaching (2014). When I was teaching I got sick quite often.
