Beautiful snow this am

We had an unexpected snow this morning. It started about 6 am and is not sticking, but very pretty coming down. The daffodils are blooming, so it is s quite a contrast. No school delays, so the buses were running in the snow.

However, I am SO glad I am not at school today. Imagine the excitement of watching out the windows while being stuck inside doing math or reading. I remember one time I had to close the blinds to keep the kids focused.

So nice to be retired and enjoying my coffee at home.
Update: Oh no, it's starting to stick. They will have to send the kids HOME!

even though I am sure it looks beautiful. Enjoy your coffee.

Don't you know it will be a CRAZY day if they have to arrange to send students home early! Yikes!

It reached 21 here in central Texas. Rare for us. And I have to bundle up to go to the doctor this morning. Bad timing.

It doesn’t snow here, but we’ve had quite a bit of rain. Except for 1 storm (that leaked under my sliding doors, grrrr), “rain” here has meant sprinkles and mist. Let’s hope that keeps up until I get my windows replaced.

It sure is nice to be home to put out the just-in-case towels next to the sliders.

were what I had the last BIG RAIN storm. Luckily I was home (retired) and noticed a drip-drip-drip between our patio cover and living room doors. Had a roof guy out in no time (and who did extra work up there) It wasn't snow, but it was BEAUTIFUL!!

The kids were always so crazy with the snow. I miss the excitement but I dont miss the messed up schedule. I retired just in time because there have been many 2hr delays and snowdays since Jan. 30th.

My dhs plan is to never see snow again but I love snow. I told him I might need to fly home once a year if a blizzard is coming so I can be snowed in.
