report cards

We graded place value concepts (ex; ten more & ten less) on the second quarter report card. The same place value concepts are on the report card to be graded again for the third quarter BUT we haven't really focused on it since the end of our unit. There are many math concepts that we continue to focus on throughout all of the quarters, such as addition & subtraction, but what about the math concepts that are primarily focused on during the previous quarter only, such as fact families or place value, do you grade second quarter math concepts again during the third quarter? If the answer is no, what do you put in the 3rd quarter space for those concepts?
thanks

In general, I only mark grades for the units I covered and assessed as opposed to spiral review.

We cover place value all year through spiral review...money,comparing numbers, story problems etc. I take spiral review grades all year in my grade book to support a total math concept grade. Math is like reading. The skills constantly build on each other.

This same situation happened to me. I ended up giving my students a short quiz on those concepts. I used those grades as report card grades. Those skills are reviewed/practiced weekly with our Math program so they were still pretty fresh in their minds.
