Nothing. I give out treats on the first and last day of school and at random times during the school year just because I want to. But if I gave out treats at open house, then I'd have to provide for all the siblings and neighbors too.

I'm doing well to think of all the parent's names and come up with positive comments for all at Open House.

I donít understand why a treat is necessary for Open House. If you are thinking of a reward for attendance, then I give a free homework pass. Come to Open House and no homework that night.

I spend a lot of class time getting the room ready for Open House. I donít have cash to spend to treat students and families.

lollipops

I buy a big bag of the small tootsie pops because they're not expensive and you get a bunch (Walmart has them). I attach a small note that says "Thanks for popping in!" (they have free ones on TPT) and put it on each child's desk. Then I keep a bowl of the extras for siblings and/or parents.

If you don't want to do the individual ones, you can just put a sign on the bowl of lollipops.

I typically don't do anything, but last year I did give each student a fancy pencil (dollar store) at the table where they'd sit. It had "homework" attached to it which was to write 3 things they wanted me to know about them on the attached index card. Due on first day of school.
