Clip to ScrapBook #1

Home from Arizona. The cooler and dry ice kept the javelina meat nice and cold/frozen.

We stopped north of Phoenix to stay with cousins before starting the trek north. We are going to Ireland with them in May and planning a family reunion in CO in June, so there were plenty of details to deal with.

We left Phoenix in the rain, but then we had blizzard conditions from Ely to Wells, NV. Thank goodness for 4-wheel drive. The shiny new lime green Camero in front of us should have thought twice before getting on that stretch. Remnants of the storms in Washington have closed roads in Idaho, so we ended up taking the "long way around" in order to get home.

Munched on Trader Joe snacks in the car while listening to books. I knew I shouldn't have even opened them! I took some of your suggestions: those small savory crackers, almonds, mixed fruit/nut bags, everything but the bagel spice, everyday spice, GREAT price on jasmine rice, and a couple different kinds of cookies. I was tempted, tempted, tempted! Some wonderful goodies were calling to me. Sure wish TJ's delivers.

Looked at the wine, but considering I have over 90 bottles of my own plum and rhubarb in my cellar, my husband just raised his eyebrows as I wandered by.

So glad to hear what you bought at TJís. And hooray for being home safe and sound.

It sounds like a good trip except for the blizzard part. Driving in that kinds of weather is really scary.

Trader Joe's snacks are the best.

Javelina meat??? I had no idea javelina were something people ate! Iíve never even seen a javelina.

When I first read your other post I thought a javelina hunt was like a snipe hunt.
