Many of you know I became a dual US Irish citizen last year. I have not been able to travel since Don was sick for so many years. He passed away in January, and I have started thinking about a trip to Ireland in the future. I entered a contest and didn't win. Then i was contacted by the man who owns the small tour company. He told me a friend of mine had written to him and told him my story about being a caregiver for years, etc. He gave me a free All Ireland tour to use when i want to go! How touching is that? There really are good people out there!
I told him i will pay it forward and tell everyone about his tours!
Its called Walter's Way Tours based in Ireland.
I am looking forward to going- probably next year. It's nice to have some happiness after so many years of sadness.

I actually already have a trip booked to Europe in August that some family members invited me on! So I will wait till next spring or summer so the family members who will go with me are available. They aren't retired so they can't take more time off -unlike me
I agree it was a wonderful thing both my old friend did and the tour owner did! At first I didn't believe it and i wrote back and forth with him. I asked him why and he said "You deserve it." It's easy to think this world is cold and bad when you watch the news, but this does restore faith in the goodness of people.
