I want to bring meatballs to a family reunion picnic tomorrow that's 2 hours away. Any ideas of how I can keep a dish safely hot that I cook in the morning?

Crockpot? Do you have a way to plug something in.. in your car? I have an outlet in my van.

Maybe a crockpot with one of the insulating bags for food?

Or if you have something like this... even if you have a few small ones..

My first thought was also crock pot. Maybe wrapped in towel for insulation, then put in an ice chest or insulated bag? Maybe put it on high until just before you unplug it!(If no power in your vehicle.)
