My new job has one close to it. So today I ate lunch there for the first time. I had a small order of fries which were A LOT!! and yummy! I chose to take the BLT home for dinner and only eat the fries. I just ate the BLT. It was so good! Yum!

I feel so sad for my peanut-allergic nephews who will never know the joy of Five Guys. Their so-called small fry order is HUGE! DH and I split it and have leftovers. And their burgers, oh sweet Jesus, their burgers! Total FOODGASM!

Now I want Five Guys.

I've always wanted to try it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I keep hearing how good it is, though, so I might have to put it on the to-do list for this weekend.

I may try them out soon. Around here (CA) In N Out rules the hamburger wars. Many locals argue about Five Guys vs In N Out. I only eat at In N Out about 2x per year.

Love Five Guys!! Also, Shake Shack. Had it in NY when we visited several years ago, they have one in Orlando now! Luckily, I don't live too close to either......temptation! (Also like Culver's!)

I love their Cajun fries! There is one close to my school also, so we go there on PD days sometimes. Right now I'm counting calories and doing six 1,200 calorie days and one 2,000 calorie day per week. I was just thinking about having Five Guys on my high calorie day this week! We don't have In N Out.

We like 5 guys, too, but I'm not so fond of paying for it. It's expensive!

The last time we were there, there were 5 of us. 3 teenage boys. We got 2 large fries for the group. And there were leftovers!

I have one in my town and I've never been there. I guess I should try it at least once to say I've try it and see what all the fuss is about.

A guy in my Greyhound group loves is. He comes to our meet and greets once a month just to go there.

I hate how they just have their potatoes hanging out in the dining room. I just find it very odd.

Not a fan of 5 Guys or Smash Burger. I like In-N-Out but only like twice a year.

Wish we had a Steak and Shake!

I do love the fried pickles at Smash Burger though!

Never heard of Shake Shack but I bet I'd like it!

Do not have a Shake Shack- closest is in Orlando, do not have a Red Robin, closest is Brandon or Lakeland, do not have In and Out Burgers in Florida.

There is a Smashburgers that opened up last year, but haven't heard anything about its food.

Yep, I think their cajun fries are the best fries ever. I like their burgers too...a nice alternative to In 'n Out.

tia, I love Smashburger. They have some unique burgers in addition to their "classic" burger. I often got the children's burger, and it was plenty big enough for me. And their fries don't strike me as greasy as other burger places. I especially like their smash-fries, which are tossed in olive oil, garlic, and rosemary. I've asked them to do that for my order of sweet potato fries before, and they're just as yummy. Menu linked here: http://smashburger.com/eat/menu/

The one by us does half-price milkshakes before 4 PM on Tuesdays, but I don't know if that is specific to that particular location or not.

As for 5 Guys....my DH and my two teenaged DSs love 5 Guys better than any other burger franchise. I like it a lot, but always feel over-full after eating there.

We went to one whole we were at the beach. The guys said the burgers were really good. I ate a grilled cheese. I love those. I'm not a huge fan of fries, but DH said I could eat some of his. He ordered a large.

DSS and BF took the leftovers back to the condo, and the bag was transparent with oil the next morning.

Too. Many. Fries.

I am so excited...we ate at Smashburger in Las Vegas last year, but didn't have any around here. I just looked it up and there's one fairly close to us! Guess where we're having lunch this week! Also, looked up Steak n Shake and Shake Shack. I had no idea we had any in SoCal. They are a bit of a drive, but could make for a fun outing! I am generally unimpressed by fancy, gourmet food but I love a good burger!
