I had never considered listening to podcasts and frankly, wasn’t even sure how they “worked”. Since the posts a few days ago I have been listening to them while sewing in my studio (studio sounds more sophisticated than room )

Thank you to everyone that made suggestions. I am really enjoying listening to podcasts now!

What a great post—right down to studio. I like podcasts, too.

Yay for you. I like podcasts, too - I use them like a "palate cleanser" between audio books.

I love them. I’ve been listening for about 2 years or so now. They are kinda like talk radio .. or YouTube with no video. In a way, they remind me of what sitting next to the radio in the 30s and 40s would have been like listening to shows before tv was common.

I was the same way for a long time. My teaching partner was always talking about which podcast she was listening to while we ate lunch. I started to feel left out and finally gave Serial a try. Now I’m hooked! Ive listened to tons of podcasts on all different topics. They really are great to listen to while you’re working on something else or out for a walk.

I love podcasts! I listen to a podcast while I am cleaning the house, driving, and working out. I especially like true crime podcasts.

Sprite, I have been saying the same thing for a while now....To me podcasts are a modern version throwback to the old radio shows. Back then they had soap operas, and detective / mystery / crime stories, and adventure stories, and every other genre —- just like today’s podcasts.

DH turns on the TV from the time he gets up until we go to bed. It is too much for me! I enjoy Good Morning America and then can be done until Prime Time programs. The podcasts have been a welcome alternative for me. I like true crime ones, also . That, and NPR.
