Question: What do you say to comfort a grammar teacher?

Here are some more silly grammar puns:

What did the intransitive verb say when told it was pretty?
Nothing. Intransitive verbs can’t take compliments.....

A noun and a verb walk into a bar. The verb says, “Want to go back to my place and conjugate?”
The noun shakes her head. “Sorry, I decline.”

A group of homophones wok inn two a bar......

Hitting someone when they confuse “there”/“their”/“they’re”
is really an ad homonym attack.

Sorry....a friend shared those with me, and I had to get rid of them...so there you are!

My kind of humor. I love them all—especially the intransitive verb. Thanks!

Lisa, thanks for posting this. During these stressful times, we can all use a good laugh.

All of the great puns posted reminded me of this poem. My apologies to those who are familiar with it.

Spell check errors can be quite funny. As a high school teacher, I have seen more than my share! But my very favorite one was in our church bulletin, at a time when we were between secretaries...so the priest was editing the bulletin himself, with the help of spell check. Honest to God, this is true!

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
All volunteers are invited to a special dinner Saturday night!
6 pm
Menu: Your choice of Beer or Pork

(Of course, to the disappointment of several volunteers, there was no beer...only roast beef).
