Has anyone taken the Praxis II tests for special ed.? I have to take two tests soon and I would really appreciate any advice you may have. (I bought the study guide and took the practice test - I missed 12 problems out of 60) Is it really difficult? Is the practice test pretty close to the real thing? Oh yeah, I know the first thing I have to do is get off of PT and STUDY. I just can't quite get motivated. . .

I took the Praxis II Elementary Education test this summer. I bought the book that has 2 full-length exams in it. I made note cards for my weak areas. I had 10 days to study for it which everyone said I needed to study 7 weeks, and I passed it! It really is not hard at all especially if you have the book because the format of the test is identical to that book. Good Luck!

I took it years ago and found it a little tricky, but I easily passed it. The only part I found hard was when they gave you symptoms or physical traits a kid had and asked you to "diagnose" them.

I did all the practice tests online and stuff, which I found to be helpful. Good luck!
