My district is looking for meaningful professional development for teachers in ELL teaching strategies, vocabulary development, lesson planning, etc. I would love to know what you have done at your schools that was valuable to you. Presenters? Book studies? Workshops? What has been the most helpful to you as a teacher?

My district has multiple trainings you can attend some schools use the SIOP model (pearson) and have a district trainer teach the class, there is also GLAD strategies that help to bring in your ELL students, 50 strategies for teachers of English Language Learners is a great book that was required reading in one of my ELL courses.

hope this helps?
