Challenge higher student

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I have a meeting coming up with a parent who is asking for more challenging work for her daughter. This student is reading above grade level and grasps reading and math concepts very quickly.
I know mom is looking for ways her daughter can be challenged more in the classroom in both reading and math, but I am not sure what kinds of activities I could offer or suggest.

If anyone has suggestions I would be grateful. Thanks

Do you do guided groups in reading and math? That would be the first/best way.

For math: Khan Academy is one thing I use for my higher kids. You could use it for all, but right now, I just use it for my high kids.

I also have a parent volunteer come in and pull the higher math kids 1x per week and work on higher level concepts.

Same with reading. Aside from guided groups, a parent volunteer comes in 1x per week to read with the high group.
