How are you holding up?

Iím starting to get worried. My kids are with their dad all week as itís his Spring Break this year. While I know that he will take care of the kids and keep them safe, Iím turning into a ball of nerves. To top it off, he thinks everyone is making a bigger deal of the situation than it is and that itís politically driven.

Iím worried that we will go I to lockdown and I wonít be able to see them for a while. Plus, Iím sure that his affair girlfriend will be staying with him.

I am sorry you are in this situation. Try to remain calm. I bet you see your kids at the end of their spring break.

That is very stressful! I have friends whose kids are staying far away right now with others or in their college towns in apartments, and I'm so thankful I have my kids right here with me I hope that your worry does not come to pass!

Make a plan with your ex now-so far we have been given time lines before shut downs/shelter in place orders. If you have a plan in place to do a switch you should have time to make it happen, have the discussion now so that everyone is clear and in agreement BEFORE such news come.

I'll tell you I did not see my county's shelter in place order coming at all. In fact, even though school was closed I was still there "getting stuff done and getting caught up". Had I known what was coming I would have been much less stressed out making sure I have what I need (groceries, sanitation needs, prescriptions filled, picked up mail from my PO BOX, ect. )
