Slimy white board

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hi! My room had a long white board that I want to use as my word wall. Whatever it was cleaned with has made it slippery and masking tape or scotch tape wonít stick to it.

Does anyone have any ideas of what to clean it with so I can use tape on it?

TIA!

I would try just water and microfiber cloths. But, tape can be ruin the surface of a white board. Can you use magnets?

I will be careful not to ruin the surface. Iíve used rolled up masking tape on white boards before and it was fine.

I think Iíll use plain old soap and water. If that fails Iíll cover it with bulletin board paper.

Thanks for your response!

You can also try hand sanitizer. I've had a lot of success with it.

Would rubbing alcohol help?

I used Dawn and paper towels and it got off most of the left over slime. I used sticky tack putty to put up border, and I will be able to use tape for my words on my word wall. I also have magnets I will use for charts.

Thanks for you help! I can always count on my PT friends!
