Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am looking for some websites my kids can go to, to download/save and print actual photographs of animals for their non-fiction animal books. Our computer tech person recommended wikimedia and googledocs, but I am worried that these sites aren't filtered enough and my first graders will see things they shouldn't be seeing.
Any sites out there that any of you could recommend that are easy to navigate and first grade friendly?

TIA!

of pictures that we download from the websites. It is very difficult NOT to come up with inappropriate material when using animal names! We just drop bunches of pics in the folder, and then teach the kids how to navigate to the folder to copy and drop into documents. Safer. Doesn't teach internet skills, but really, is that the purpose of the lesson?

I really like that idea of dropping the pics into a folder. I am thinking I will just do that. Such a great idea! Thanks so much for your help!

I'm currently the computer teacher at my school. Like Ria said www.pics4learning.com is an excellent site for pictures. They have a lot of animal pics. I use it all the time in the computer lab.
