This coming Friday is PJ/Hot Cocoa day with a movie in the afternoon. I would like to do a read aloud and then watch the movie on Friday. My first thought was the original 101 Dalmations but the book is too long. My class is
K-2. Ideas? Thanks.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is appreciated in third grade when I've done the book/movie thing.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a personal fave when it comes to books...

The movie doesn't really coincide very well, and (if I'm not mistaken) there were parts in the movie when I thought "That's really considered child-appropriate?" But that's true of most movies these days, unfortunately. Honestly, I'm sure "those" jokes would go over the heads of primary kids.
