I am wanting to do monthly and seasonal poems to practice choral reading and to use to look for word patterns, sight words etc. Can you please share where you get your poems from? Also how do you use them?

I am planning on doing the same thing and would love some suggestions as well. I'm also thinking about doing a poetry notebook to go with it, so if anyone does that I'd love some tips.

I am not a kindergarten teacher (and this isn't my website)
But I teach 2nd grade and have used a lot of the 2nd grade poems from this website. The kindergarten poems look great and it gives you really great ideas for a poetry journal.

This is the link to the poems on teacherpayteachers but they are FREE

(again not my blog and not my tpt store)

WHAT A RESOURCE! Fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing the tpt link.

Anyone downloading the poems would do well to print them, slide them in clear plastic sleeves and organize them in a binder. As PP said, they are not in order--some are but not all.

Many are old favorites of mine (23+ years teaching) while others are new. EXCELLENT!!!
