Three antique dressers in the Eastlake style

My Eastlake dresser because it is the first piece of furniture I bought and it matches why I eventually inherited from my mom.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why?
Living room couch. Too big.

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy?
An entire dining room suite.

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home? I have a hutch that my parents bought before they were married so that is 50 years old. I also have a hope chest that was carved in Poland - my grandmother brought it with her when they moved to the US in the late 20's.

What is the newest piece of furniture? We just bought a fouton for DH's man cave in our daylight basement.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? My grandmother's hope chest.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? We have a leather recliner, the mechanism broke so it makes a loud clunk when you recline it.

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? I would buy a new bedroom set, complete with a Tempurdedic mattress.

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home? We have several antique pieces, but the oldest used pieces are my bedroom dressers. Purchased by my grandparents probably in the 40's or 50's.

What is the newest piece of furniture? Our kitchen table.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? Our couches. We spent a fortune on them, but they're worth it.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? That new kitchen table. It's just not holding up like it should.

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? A new bedroom set. We have no bed other than the cheap frame underneath and I'm sick of my grandparent's old dressers.

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home?
almost all of our furniture are antiques. The oldest is either the bedroom suit (7th generation) or one of the display cabinets or maybe one of the tables. They are from the mid 1800's. The living room sets are from the turn of the century and the 20's
What is the newest piece of furniture?
our bed. We custom ordered it to look old. It is like a brass bed but not in brass
What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why?
either the small table my aunt just gave me (it was a family piece and she knew I was the only one who would care for it) she cried when she saw it in my house or the Morris chair.
Least liked piece of furniture? Why?
the sofa in the living room. It is from the turn of the century and my DH swore it was the most comfortable thing ever. Hideous. I think it is appolstered in burlap. It will be fantastic when it is reappolstered (red leather)
Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy?
either a sectional for the sunroom or have several pieces reappolstered.

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home? A Queen Anne desk that my great grandmother saved her egg money to buy. My grandfather gave it to me.

What is the newest piece of furniture? Newest to me is a chest in my hallway but it came from a Habitat for Humanity Store and is probably 70-100 years old. I like character pieces.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? The wingback chair we recently had re- upholstered.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? Desk in office- 2 file cabinets with a piece of white laminate board on top-need I say more

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? Nice furniture for my home office

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home? Not sure. I have several antiques from when my parents passed away (my dad used to sell antiques). My guess is the drop leaf dining room table. I remember my dad saying it was made in the 1800's and he treated it like it was his baby .

What is the newest piece of furniture? New chairs for our breakfast bar.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? My dresser. It used to be my great aunt's and is just beautiful.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? My couches. They are old and two of the recliners don't work anymore

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? A complete new living room: couches, chairs, rug, tables, lamps, etc EVERYTHING!!

1. Oldest - gossip bench from my grandma (she's 98, so I'm not sure how old it is).

2. Newest - DD's bed - about 3 years old

3. Favorite - Love seat - reclines and in a good spot for TV

4. Least Liked - Kitchen table - too big for nook area (but sentimental)

5. Buy - new kitchen table - I know what I want, just haven't found it.

Oldest is hutch in dining room, came with DH when we got married.

Newest is a wooden bench we purchased for our bathroom. Nothing special, serves a purpose.

Favorite are matching Amish handmade wood/branch rockers, love them.

Least liked is the ugly, pleather recliner my DH sits in every night.

Buy, I would love to replace DH recliner.

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home? We have DH's grandfather's bedside table that was built during the depression.

What is the newest piece of furniture? Our bed, a King platform bed DH bought last spring.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? DS' crib. It is a hand-me-down from a friend, as is most of his stuff, looking at it is just a reminder of the generosity and kindness of my friends.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? Our living room couch side tables. They really too big and look like something from the 80s. I should probably paint them, but I'm lazy.

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? Solid-wood Amish made furniture. It lasts forever.

Our coffee table in the family room. Its an antique pedestal dining table cut down.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? A barrel back corner cupboard I found on Craig's List and bought for $100. I went to the ends of the Earth to pick it up.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? A chair I bought with the intention of recovering it, then I found out how much it would cost to get it done in the fabric I wanted.

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? A quality leather set for the family room.

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home?
Dining room table that my mom gave us when she decided to turn her dining room into scrapbook central

What is the newest piece of furniture?
Our living room sectional- we call it the couch monster because it's really big! Took some getting used to

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why?
The corner piece of the sectional...love to curl up with a book.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why?
Kitchen table- it's a nice table, but it's too big for the space and it aggravates me.

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy?
I have to pick two! I'd get a new King sized bed (DH is a bit of a bed hog) and new patio furniture. I really want to ditch the table and chairs and buy a sectional with a low table!

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home? I have my great-grandmother's chest of drawers. It is at least 100 years old.

What is the newest piece of furniture? My bedroom set, but it is six years old.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? A bookshelf that my grandfather made by hand. I love to dust it and think about him sanding it and staining it....I love to know that I am running my hands over the same wood he ran his hands over... (Can you tell I really miss my grandfather?)

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? My couch...it is just plain worn out!

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? A new living room set complete with an adjustable coffee table.

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home? I guess the oldest piece is a 4 drawer dresser that I gave DH 12 years ago when we were dating.

What is the newest piece of furniture? Newest piece is my son's bed.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why? My 14 drawer dresser we bought from an unfinished furniture place and stained it ourselves. It was our first piece of "adult," on our own house stuff.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why? bookshelf in my room. I just keep piling stuff on it. It's an eyesore. If it had doors I'd be fine.

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy? sectional sofa

What is the oldest piece of furniture in your home?
My husband's dresser from when he was a baby/kid/teenager/college student/bachelor!! It's falling apart.

What is the newest piece of furniture?
My living room furniture. Sofas, chairs, tables.

What is your favorite piece of furniture? Why?
The chair in my living room. It's a chaise lounge, which I've wanted since I was about 6-7 years old, and it's crazy comfortable, and it has a great view out my front window.

Least liked piece of furniture? Why?
See question 1

Money isn't a problem - what furniture would you buy?
A big, squishy but structured-look sectional sofa that converts to two love seats and a chair if I get tired of the sectional look. In soft buttery distressed leather. With two ottoman/tables and an end table. And built in library shelves. With a mini desk and upholstered desk chair. In other words, redo my family room.
