Well, I don't really see either, but I do see the Jayhawk. I can see why people thought it inappropriate (so the weird part in the back is what then?), but I don't think it looks like the Starship Enterprise either. I can't figure out what happened after the tip got in, though--- the Jayhawk exploded?

Whatever it looks like, it was an interesting visual choice. Jayhawk eating the Enterprise??

ETA: Never mind, I realize that the Jayhawk was the OTHER team's mascot. I can't tell those Kansas Us apart (sorry, dchawk!). Now it makes sense- the Enterprise killed the Jawhawk. Ok, I get it.

I see the Enterprise as well. I think people are just being overly sensitive.

What silliness

I don't think the school should apologize for some people's silliness. It's legitimizing a coarse joke.

I saw nothing. It wasn't even a good Starship.

I see the Enterprise. I don't think the school should be apologizing either.

I don't see anything not a starship, maybe a Jayhawk and definitely not the part mentioned. people overdo everything on social media.

What color was the dress?

I didn't see anything offensive in it at all. No one should expect perfection from a formation like that, but I thought it looked pretty good!

I don't see it. According to my son "people missed their dots" and incorrectly formed the drill. Highly doubtful it was intentional, just a bad run. IMO people are reaching to see genitalia in that.

FWIW Kansas State wasn't playing the JayHawks the day in question. Kansas State was making fun of their rival, the JayHawks. They created the Star Ship Enterprise because a Kansas State official served on the battleship "The Enterprise". They wanted to blow up their rival JayHawk. It's unfortunate the "ship" entered the Jay Hawk's mouth and blew it up. That's from the rumor mill in our area (not Kansas).

One would have to have the imagination of a 12-year-old boy to see something *weird* in that halftime show.

This band does have a great reputation. I believe they recently won an award for being one of the top bands in the country.

Feeling bad for the band

This a top notch band, and it was an excellent Star Trek themed half time show. The starship blows up things! That's what it did. It blew up the very recognizable school rival- a jayhawk. It is too bad people have such poor thought processes.
