Has anyone ever read My Father's Dragon with their kinders? I want to read it with my class this year and have found so many ideas for lessons/activities on Pinterest that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the possibilities.

Any advice or suggestions for tried and true approaches for getting the most out of this book?

I had never heard of the book, so I decided to look it up on Pinterest. When I typed the title I must of hit "enter" too soon. I got some strange results when I searched for "My father's drag"

About the book, though, I don't have any suggestions. But I'm going to have to check it out!

This is a book in a trilogy. I used to read this book to 2nd graders and they LOVED! I think it would be good for a class of kindergarteners who are more mature and able to listen to read alouds.

ICrazyTeach - that is too funny!

MammaBear, I have a small group of very mature kiddos this year, so I think they would do well with it. I would love to hear more about how you taught the book!

I read this trilogy to my students every year and they love it! I would highly recommend reading this as a read aloud.
