I recently put a pair of old scissors in the a little kitchen drawer just above the trash. OMG—I never realized how much I cut and want things to go straight to trash. Sooooooo easy and what a timesaver.

That's what I need to do so that I won't have piles of junk mail. My excuse is that we will "get to it" later! Of course later comes when the basket overflows!

My son gave me a pair of shredder scissors for Christmas a few years ago. They are such a handy tool when I go through the mail!

are a must have. I have always had a pair of kitchen scissors with my knife set, now I have a small pair in the pocket of my apron when I am in the kitchen and I have a pair in my pocket when I garden. I am always surprised that I need them so often rather than trying to use the bigger garden tools.

We've ALWAYS kept scissors in one of the multi-purpose kitchen drawers. We use it to open food packages, etc.

I also keep a pair in my glove compartment - it's amazing how handy they are!

Well, of course we did that. I have scissors in every room except the guest room. But I never thought to put another pair in the kitchen right by the trash. So convenient.
