Hi friends!

I hardly ever have a cookout so I need a little help!

1. What’s a good time to have it if we’re serving lunch?

2. I plan on doing bbq chicken but need a good recipe😬

3. We have friends bringing side dishes but any ideas on appetizers?

Yup..told you I needed help😂

Chicken breasts with no skin in some sort of oil and vinegar and seasonings you like, garlic, pepper, salt, etc.

Grilling chicken is quick so cook after guests arrive.

Potato salad is always a hit

Fresh raw vegetables, olives, pickles, artichoke hearts on a platter

Chips, sour cream dip,

Good bread, butter

Red wine or white

1:00 works

2. I plan on doing bbq chicken but need a good recipe😬
grill boneless, skinless thighs or breasts
tenderize them first by sticking them in a ziploc bag and beating the hell out of them with a tenderizer or a rolling pin. Or even the non-blade end of a heavy knife
marinate them in a ziploc bag or covered dish for an hour or two
try this marinade: lime juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic
or this one: honey bbq sauce from a bottle with a splash of balsamic vinegar

3. We have friends bringing side dishes but any ideas on appetizers?
-cubes of cantaloupe and watermelon with toothpick
-hummus with carrots, pita triangles, apple slices, celery, wheat/grain crackers
-cubes of mozzarella, fresh basil leaf, and cherry tomato on a toothpick or skewer served with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar
