I'm a first time grandmother and need some gift ideas for my granddaughter! I did order a Shutterfly photo album but not sure what else to get. They live in Europe so I haven't had a lot of time with her

Thanks in advance!!!

If you know her size, buy something the next size up for the next season in 8 months. Mom will be happy she has one outfit that fits.

I would buy her a few books and then record them for her to listen to while looking at the books. Not sure how you can do that these days but it would make a nice gift since you are so far away for one another.

Record yourself reading some books. Then give her a copy of the book too. You will get to read a bed time story every night!

One dd got one of those mini-sized stuffed armchair rockers—can you have something shipped? It has held up well and she still sometimes sits in it at 9 years old

Other dd got a special blanket that I made with an Eric Carle pattern from fabric I found online. She LOVES it and still sleeps with it.

We have grands in Europe. We try and get things that are light and not too pricy to mail. Books, stickers, clothing, etc. we have had the best luck mailing with the US post office. Cheapest and very reliable.

Is she walking?

If not she will be soon. What about a nice walking toy? I like the Radio Flyer pictured in the articles as she can carry her toys with her wherever she goes.

I recommend using Amazon from the place they live in Europe. I have sent things from UK & The Netherlands Amazon and as long as the items are from the country I don't have to pay duty.

My DGS turned 1 last month and he loves bath toys—the kind that squirt or wind up are especially fun.
