Went to the movies

I live in a very rural town. We’ve been spared much of the COVID-19 pandemic but our community has still tried to follow all protocols.

The movie theater was selling popcorn curbside during lockdown during Friday nights “Cruisin’ down Main.” Fun to see all the old and new cars w people waving.

Last week they started showing older movies for $3/ticket. Really good ones well-suited for the big screen. We missed last week’s Jurassic Park, but just got back from “Jaws.” Oh my word - SOOOO much better on the big screen! I. Had forgotten how heart stopping parts were!!

And even though they cordoned off every other row in the theatre, there were only 4 of us in the audience! Plenty of social distancing!

It sounds like you had a fun time. Your Friday nights sound like a magical time. Its been a long time since I have been to a movie theater and can only imagine how scary it was seeing Jaws on the big screen.

Movies are pretty much the only thing NOT open here yet. It doesn't make sense to me as it seems like a really easy place to social distance since people are seated the whole time/not moving around. It seems to me there are far more riskier things that have been open for awhile now.

That would be fun to see "Jaws" on the big screen! Can't beat 4 people to a theater and $3 a ticket.
