For me it's a "botato" kind of night.

Chicken breasts, baked potatoes and asparagus.

If I don't have to cook, it tastes so much better!

PEACH COBBLER!!!

Seriously! My husband and I had to go to the "big city" and pick up the 1200 pound battery for our new solar power system. We had a late lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings (first time we've been) and picked up a box of Washington peaches at a stand by the side of the road.

They look gorgeous. Neither of us is hungry and the peaches are calling, so...

Peach Cobbler it is!

probably a very small pasta chicken meal with a salad and some fresh green beans. DH is on month 6 of his diet and down by 61 pounds. He is mastering the portion control lessons.

What we New Englanders call "American Chop Suey". "Goulash" to lots of other people. Ground hamburger and pasta sauce over pasta with some spices thrown in.

Meatloaf, Au Gratin potatoes and buttered carrots. I'm smelling it but the men are still outside moving cattle. Fortunately this is a meal that will hold until they finish with no damage to the flavor.

I had turkey bacon and eggs. The kids had grilled cheese.
I'm getting ready to have some of my mom's homemade cheesecake for dessert

Leftover Goulash
Old 09-06-2017, 04:53 PM
  #20

I made penne pasta with Arriabata pasta sauce, ground beef, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, and green peppers last night, so we had leftover goulash tonight.
I am so tired from teaching that I truly relish my time at home more than ever. I love my new class, but this teacher gets worn out!

we had spaghetti (with only half the noodles since we're now empty nesters). i told DH to cook the meat and freeze half of it because it would be more than we'd need, but he doesn't like to freeze stuff so we had MEAT pasta!

and green beans

Frozen Tombstone pizza- I had Bible study at 5:30, so quick & easy tonight. My friend had pumpkin bars for her DH's birthday. We were the taste testers.
