DD's house is in remodel, getting new flooring and kitchen cabinets. Thurs I was expecting them for dinner...they brought suitcases, 3 kids, and 2 extra dogs...one of them a puppy.MIL is also here. I love them dearly, but am a bit overwhelmed. We had also planned a family BBQ for later today. 18 for dinner. I am currently hiding in my bedroom enjoying a few minutes of quiet.

Thank goodness it's summer! I'd throw up some hammocks or tents in the backyard for the overflow and have a blast!

I always tell family who come to my house that if they see something that needs to be done that they should just do it. I try not to interfere and redo it my way which is really hard.
I hope they all help clean as they go along because otherwise you are going to have a big job when they all leave!
A long walk once or twice a day might be helpful as well. I get really stressed out if I can't get some alone time each day even if it is only to just sit and think my own thoughts.

Adopt the care of the puppy and take him for loooong walks. A tired puppy is a happy puppy. A walk in solitude, priceless. Have fun.

I often end up with impromptu dinners for a huge crowd. Fruit, protein based sandwiches (cold cuts, hamburgers, brats, sloppy joes, shredded chicken, bbq pork etc) and a side or two done. Possibly chips and salsa. Oh and brownies topped before baking with M&Ms. Always a hit.
