Math Pals 4th grade

Anyone interested in being a Math Pal with my 4th grade class? I will teach 3 4th grade classes with about 20-22 students in each class. I have done this before and the kids love it. I usually start out having my students write and talk about themselves and what they like to do, things like that. After both groups exchange then we keep writing to each other and the kids then can start to ask Math questions to see if their pen pal can get the answer. We do the regular mail system so we usually get about 4 letters sent both ways in the year. Please let me know if anyone is interested in becoming Math Pals. We are in Texas, so we would like to get to know people from a different state that is not close to us. Let me know who would like to do this. We start school August the 25th.

I love that idea, I'm in a very small school and I'll only have 9 kiddos this year.

I'd love to do Math Pals with you. It's my first year teaching 4th and I think my students would love it. Just a heads up I'm self-contained so I'll only have 25-27 students.

We start school on 8/24 and I will have 27+ kids. I think it would be great for kids to share their math ideas.

I could do it! I have 24 students. (We started school on August 13.)

We are Mrs. Adams' Fourth Graders
Bluff Park Elementary School
569 Park Avenue
Hoover, AL 35226

(There is also a Mrs. Adams who teaches 2nd grade, so be sure to mark the letters 4th grade!)

Thanks!

Are you still looking for Math Pals? I teach 2- 4th grade math classes of 27 students. I have never had math pals but it definitely sounds interesting. If you are still looking please email me at smichael@capsk12.org and we can set something up but we do not start school until September 8. Hope to hear from you. I would like to include both classes.
