Clip to ScrapBook #1

I've got a bulletin board outside my room that will eventually be used for student work but for the start of the year I want to display something encouraging to ALL of the 4th graders. They have to pass my room to get to all the other 4th grade rooms so they will see this as they come in. Last year I had "Go Fourth and Succeed" with some encouraging notes. But I need something new this year. Any ideas?

I have two bulletin boards outside of my classroom I am responsible for. I also teach fourth. I put maps up as a background with the saying "4th Grade: A Road-Trip To Remember", and then put a large curvy road on the middle of the board. I can e-mail you a picture if you'd like. My e-mail address is saracapper57@hotmail.com
Let me know

Just an idea!

The last few years I have printed off each child's first name in really big font size (like 144 or bigger) and use a diff. font for each kid's name. I use a few different bright colored papers so i get a nice assortment of colors....then I bubble cut the names out and staple them up with a phrase like..."We've got class" or something like that. If you leave spaces between them, then you can put kids' work up right by their name that first week of school. It's a little plain for a few days, but kids like to see their name big and the diff. fonts are fun.

I also teach fourth grade and have a bulletin board in the hall that I would like an idea for. I saw your posting and would like to know if you would send me a picture of your bulletin board "A road trip to remember".
My e-mail address is tbacon4219@aol.com

Thanks for the idea!
