Just got a new laptop, but I can't figure out how to transfer my iTunes to my new computer? Help!

Also, my iPod can't hold all of my songs..so loading all of the songs on my iPod and then plugging it in to the new computer isn't the best option yet.

GG

When I bought my ipod off my friend, he already had songs on there. All I did was download iTunes on to my computer and then hooked up my ipod to the computer and the songs automatically transfered over.

Just a side note....when I got my new PC I downloaded Itunes....a little later I realized my disc drive was no longer working. The computer was only a few weeks old. I called HP and they walked me through resetting it. The guy said sometimes when downloading ITunes it will remove that drive... I love IT guys!

I did it with a portable external hard drive. It cost about $70 but I love it! I have everything on it now. It's like a big jump drive.

I downloaded iTunes on the new computer. Then I dragged all the songs over to the external hard drive. I plugged the external hard drive into the new computer and dragged the songs into the iTunes folder there. If some of your music was purchased through iTunes you'll have to authorize that computer to play them. You can have your iTunes songs on 5 computers and you can deauthorize your old computer if you want to.

I hope that make sense!
