If you could be awarded $8,000 through a Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program to " pursue a personal interest, explore subjects that intrigue you and just "get away", where would your dream take you and what would you do?

I have always loved learning about the Holocaust ever since I was a kid. I would love to go to Europe someday and be able to see some of the concentration camps. I'd also like to backpack around the continent a take in all the history there. I'm sure that would cost more than $8,000 to do though.

I'd go to Italy and take some cooking classes and/or language lessons.

Is this a serious option for you? Oh, how I would love to do something like that!!!

Yes, it is something that Lilly Endowment, Inc offers Indiana educators. A few of my co workers have received grants for their proposals! I just can't think of where to go, but I am with you Badger Fan, I would head to Germany and take in some of the history from the Holocaust. I actially was there in 2007, and chickend out at the last minute because I thought it would be just too emotional for me. I regret that!

I've always wanted to go the Space Camp for teachers. I don't even teach science but I love reading science fiction and just think it would be so much fun.

keep the money here and help the economy as well as visit as many states as possible.

I would love to visit all 50 states someday. $8,000 wouldn't quite cover them all but its a good start. Just think what you could learn! And then share with your staff and students.

Sea Glass has a great Idea- take a road trip thru the continental usa and visit the national monuments/natural wonders and keep a blog detailing your trip. I would LOVE to do that!

Visit all the National Parks (or as many as I could get in for $8K). I'd probably do all the ones on the West Coast, since I live on the East Coast. Fly out there, rent an RV, and drive them all. $8K would get me a decent amount of gas I think!

I would love to go to Italy. I would see the city of Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, the Vatican, the canals of Venice. I think $8,000 would be plenty to cover it. I would love the opportunity!
