I want to take a senior driving class to get a discount on my auto insurance. Local classes always seem to be scheduled when Iím working. Has anyone taken an online class? Which one would you recommend?

I took the AARP one. It was incredibly tedious. But it got me the discount. And there were a few useful bits of information. Some things we learned in driver ed in high school have changed.

After the second time (you have to do it every few years to keep the discount) I stopped. The discount wasn't worth it.

Your mileage may vary.

DH and I took the class online. http://www.seniordiscounts.com/iDriveSafely.aspx
Check with your insurance company first to see if they require certain courses. Our insurance company did not, so we took the cheapest course online.

Our local senior center is offering this class for free. Metropolitan gives 10% off and both DHand I are taking it. We are signed up for January. The discount only lasts for three years.
