Sometimes it has to be enough to know youíre right

2 things I struggle with when it comes to work are pushing back and knowing Iím right, but letting it go.

Both of them are works in progress. I recently had a situation when I knew I was right, had the email to prove it and let it go. Low and behold, it was brought up again. I let it go again. Sometimes itís enough to know youíre right. Iím calling it personal growth.

But, Iím keeping the email.

Document, bcc those emails to a personal email, work with a union rep if you have one.
Keep taking the high road, and try communicating only through phone/vid to eliminate paper trail as much as possible.

I know that feeling- it's hard to let go when you know you're right. Good for you! Personal growth is a good thing

You can believe what you want and I'll believe what is right.
It stifles me from saying anything and makes me smile.
Maybe try it! It might work for you too.

You are a better person than me!!

I would have forwarded that email or copied that email and made sure the person who was wrong was informed about the error.

I am too old to be putting up with someone else's ego.

It's super hard. I especially have a hard time with the not proving I'm right thing. The hard thing is that sometimes when I'm right and keep quiet it's like I'm agreeing with the people. Does that make sense? Sometimes it's better to keep quiet and other times it leaves the impression that I agree with their narrative.

It is smart to recognize that sometimes, there are battles you cannot win, even if the evidence is clearly in your favor. Not easy to do, though.
