What to put in a college care package?

I have three young friends that all started college this fall. They are all experiencing some challenges of one sort and another. One is heading to a college overseas, another just lost her father to Covid, and the third is dealing with sexuality and body issues as a young trans person. I'd like to send them care packages, but for various reasons baked goods aren't going to be a good choice. I need some suggestions about things these young people might appreciate. Can you help?

Gift cards to local restaurants/fast food

Amazon gift card

Snacks: chips, twizzlers, goldfish

Candy: Swedish fish, sour patch kids, gum
The snacks and candy listed were favorites of my ds and roommates.

A journal and pen

Fun socks

Lifesavers

How thoughtful of you! And, of course, what they really want is a box of chocalte chip cookies, but not easy to ship.

Maybe some basic first aid/cold stuff like:
band aids of different sizes
antibiotic cream (Neosporin)
thermometer
tweezers
burn cream
Tylenol or Advil
a fun mask or two

Or fun stuff:
noise maker horns
balloons
confetti
a fun banner from the party section- there are ones that say things like "you rock" or "you can do it"
crayons/colored pencils
adult coloring book
a Slinky
a couple decks of cards

study aids/school supplies:
spiral notebooks
good pens
highlighters
index cards

yummy stuff:
candy
salty snacks (Pringles won't get crushed easily)
bubble gum
instant hot cocoa
boxes of mac and cheese, ramen (if they're in a dorm/apt with a kitchenette or kitchen)
cereal bars
Pop Tarts

I like all of the previous suggestions, but #1 for me would be
STICKY NOTES IN ALL SIZES

Awesome ideas! Thank you for your replies. I knew PT would be the group to ask. I think I have a great starting point. Now, to shop. . .

I agree with snacks and candy.
When my kids were in college, they loved fuzzy slipper socks and pajama/lounge bottoms in a fun print. Also, decks of cards were welcome

Everyone has great ideas. If it was me I would appreciate a gift card so I could buy things that I might need from a local store or the campus store. If your friends are the type, how about some things to do a manicure and/or some body creams. A couple of pretty masks.

When my niece went to college I made her a College Survival Kit. It had different candy and cookie packages - all with tags.
Lifesavers - for when you need one
Starburst - for when you need that burst of energy etc.
Included were a frisbee and a bottle of bubbles. Her first day, she took them outside and was quickly joined by 4 or 5 five girls who became her best friends! I can't remember all of the sayings on the tags but it was fun to make and I can try to find them if some one wants ideas.
