I have a friend in Chile who is asked to help a 7 y.o. learn English. She'd like to have some ideas on how/where to start. I have no ESL background, so thought I'd ask here. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Since she does not have to fulfill any state guidelines (!) and the child is getting one to one teaching, she could teach her the names of familiar objects around her. There are probably workbooks available also. Can she look online?

with 2 Korean children. I recommend a book called ESL Activities and Mini-Books for Every Classroom by Kama Einhorn.
