"What next" activity-Chart or whiteboard?

I have always posted my activites under FIRST NEXT LAST magnets on the whiteboard so my kinders can learn to read the board and learn their next steps. Also learn sequence. But so many teachers use (and products available) the pocket charts for rotations. I get dizzy just looking at the pocket chart that "my group" would track through, so I have always been hesitant to implement that. If I'm confused, how about them? But what do any of you do? Bring chart out only for rotations? Post order also in another spot? Where do you post other parts of the day? My new room has a diff configuration so it may def give me new options to go with your help. Maybe the kiddos do not get confused? let me know TIA

This is what I did last year. I love Vanna's idea of having hanging rotation cards that rotate clockwise or from left to right, then start all over. This allows me to let them choose any station on Fridays while I assess, dibel, etc.

colored groups for tables (movie icons) that would fit right into this. I remember you are doing Ocean theme this year. Do you pull for assessment during choice time on Friday? I remember too you have some extra helpers in there too

literacy station time on Fridays. I had great helpers last year, but may not have help during the literacy station/small group time this year. One girl is going to be there who was wonderful, but I won't know her schedule until August (A+ high school student). I hope she can be there for reading or math rotation. Our title teachers are spread pretty thin, so I may have to take on the Tier 2 kids alone this year as well. My other time to pull for assessments is during rest time some days. Basically, my lunch time is non-existent now--I seem to run out of time for lunch because I use it to get ready for the next small group!
