Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hello Fellow Teachers,
I just found out that I have $600 to spend in my PreK-4 classroom this year. I was wondering what was the name of those tablets that are about $80? I would like to purchase a couple to use with the kids. I already have construction paper, paint, markers, crayons, etc. I'm probably going to order some Unifix cubes. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. This is my first year in PreK-4, I'm excited but I also feel a little lost. I would love your input!
Best,
Monica

If I had $600 I would get some new things for math activities: new counters, attribute blocks, pattern games, etc.

I would also get some of the lakeshore games for literacy. They have the centers you can get for rhyming, sequencing, etc.

I would also get a couple new games for the computer.

Just some ideas for you!

For PreK I would also get, if you don't have already:

sand/water table
puzzles
Large blocks
Lincoln Logs
Play-Doh
Marble Runs
Listening Center materials
Dress-up items
Math Manipulatives, as needed
Literacy games (Lakeshore has a ton!)

Always books if you don't have a lot already.

You can also look at Leapfrog products. They have some that are "tablet-esque" and some great reading products that I have used in my classrooms.

The Vtech Inno Tab is around $60, but I'm not sure of how it actually is: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...uctId=21007826
