Scavenger Hunts

Hi,

We recently just got 12 laptops ...we are out of the Dark ages!!!!
Anyways, I'm a first year teacher excited to use these laptops, even though the school year is almost over.

We are doing a unit on the Southern Colonies and the REv. War in the next few weeks. How can I beef up these really boring units I do with them?

Can anyone suggest fun projects or internet scavenger hunts for me to do?

you and the kids? Are you work with Mac or PC? There are so many awesome projects you can do with the Mac - let me know what you're working with and how comfortable you are with the technology and I'll see what I can come up with!

They are 12 PC notebooks. The whole school shared them, however so far no one is signing them out except me and a couple other teachers. I am pretty good with comfortable with computers and enjoy using them.

Thanks for your help@

timeline using Powerpoint? They can find pictures of the main events and illustrate a timeline. What about a colonial newspaper? Using Powerpoint, the kids could make a front page of a newspaper featuring war updates and news about town that would be appropriate for those times.
