Bulletin Board!

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hi all
I need to create an interactive bulletin board for the theme of the United States and the regions.

I was trying to think of something creative besides just a felt map for example.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Make it 3-D

I'm thinking of a giant-sized (huge) map separated into the regions. It may have to be one you make yourself due to the size.

Use 3-D models that are mounted on the bulletin board representing the types of jobs, animals, plants, climate, crops, special attractions, etc. You may have to place some of them in baggies then attach string and stick it on the BB with a pushpin.

For instance:
-glue on a clean, empty milk carton to represent milk products

-use a small plastic lobster or crab or even gummy fish sitting inside a small piece of netting to represent those areas whose economy revolves around the fishing industry.

-put some sand in a baggie, seal it, and attach with a thumbtack to an area where the ocean's beach is a tourist attraction.

-get a tire off a small toy car to hang up to represent the automobile industry

-attach a small toy tractor to represent good farmland

-you can also print out colored pics of special attractions and attach them to the proper areas

-and so on...
