So yesterday my post got onto the topic of curtains, and Kahlua posted a pic of streamer banner things over her windows. I was at Hobby Lobby tonight and saw these. I'm not sure if they would look good to kind of drape across my windows, since I don't think curtains would work very well with my set-up.

1. Do you think they would look good?
2. Which color scheme to you like?

The window trim is a darker teal. There are the streamer things in each color and then the one color has the foo foo things and the other color has circles. (I know my word choice isn't great tonight. )

I think I ordered fluorescent supply bins and have primary color supply drawers. I don't think I'm ever really going to have a color coordinated classroom, so I don't know if I should even try?

So there's the top color scheme and the bottom one. I'm not sure if they are too girly. Sorry, not the best pics. I'm just so happy they worked! I haven't been able to upload pics, but someone mentioned pic collage and it worked!

I like the top picture better — both color and ‘texture’.

I would love to use something like that somewhere — I think dh would freak though — too ‘modern’ for him.

I like the white/blue/salmon color scheme better than the same with hot pink.

I also think the salmon/coral is less girly than hot pink but the flowery pompoms negate that thought...

I say choose what you like.

You could also buy ribbons in the colors of your bins and make your own ribbon tassel drape.

BTW, that wasn't my window, but I am considering doing that as you inspired me to add something to my room.

On the other hand, I also think it would be cool with those "triangle" shaped banner things hanging from it. What if you had each kid choose a color, cut out a triangle following directions/measurements (or do that part for them to choose from) and decorate it for themselves? If you made the triangle's long enough to fold over and glue or staple to the string, you could hang them on it. You could even change them out throughout the year if you wanted. Start with having them put a self portrait on the banner. Next you could have them write a poem, or do an art project with lines, put a math problem on it, write a goal or a favorite growth mindset saying, quote from famous person.... Anything you wanted.

Hmmmm, if you did rectangles you could just tape the new things up to the student's rectangle as a place to show work.

I like the top. I always struggle to find things to make my classroom look nice, but isn't costly or easily ripped down (emotional support).
