Any good recommendations on a side dish to go with hamburgers? We are barbecueing tomorrow for DS's birthday. I'm not sure how many people will be here so I'm looking for a good, easy side dish.

Thanks!

Truthfully the easier the better when it comes to bbq hamburgers.
Lots of different toppings for the burgers.
If folks will be balancing a plate on their lap avoid 'fork' foods.
I like vegetables and dip, the kids always seem to like chips and cheesies, or tostitos and salsa.

I have made a corn salad for over ten years. It is delicious. I give out the recipe every time. It is very colorful and many people don't try it, but when they do they love it. Plus it is healthy.

One bag frozen corn cooked, rinsed in cold water-drain
1 can black beans rinsed/drained
I jar salad Spanish olives with juice
1red onion chopped
1 red pepper
1/2 cup barley (optional)
One cup oil
One cup lemon juice

Mix all together, chill for a few hours and serve. It is ok to even make the night before.

I double the recipe for a lot of people. It is quick and easy to make.

It is delicious with anything grilled.

pasta salad, chips, and fresh fruit cut up (strawberries are always a huge hit). Happy birthday to your DS! I hope you have a fun party!

Go easy and let the burgers be the stars of the show. A bag of quality potato chips, some cookies, and perhaps some grapes or cole slaw (something more or less fruit/veg).

Since you're already grilling, why not throw some fruits and vegetables on the grill? I personally go for pineapple for the fruit and asparagus and zucchini for the veggies.

I like chips & dip + veggies & dip. I like the idea of fruit salad. Or a nice salad with add to the lettuce toppings.

I would keep it simple, finger foods - chips, dip, fruit, raw veggies and veggie dip, etc.
