Socks To Bed?
Old 04-30-2017, 08:25 AM

So now that we know who does and does not wear underwear to bed, that got me thinking about socks. Who wears socks to bed? I do every. single. night. My feet feel funny when I don't. It could be zero degrees or 100 degrees, but I'm still wearing socks to bed. Along with my underwear of course.

So yes or no to socks to bed?

I often start out with socks, especially in winter, but I always get hot at some point during the night and take them off.

Only when my feet are cold and the. I usually end up taking them off in the middle of the night. Then I change my sheets and find a ton of socks because I forget they're there.

No, I need my feet to be free! I often stick them out from under the covers. It seems to help regulate my body temp at night.

If it's cold, definitely. Sometimes I take them off in the night when it's warmer. We keep the heat really low (50s at night), so the more clothing on me the better I am in the winter!

It depends. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It just depends on the temperature inside and out.

No socks. Only sometimes if I'm using my heavy duty heel cream, which would make a mess of my sheets.

Such funny threads.
I don't get the wearing underwear to bed thing but I certainly wear socks to bed --- when I am camping.

we're really getting personal now. Maybe I'm glad that I can't picture you all or guess your correct ages....

I run hot so I wear as little as possible-so no jammies, no undies, no socks...

I start off that way when it's cold out, but I always end up stripping them off halfway through the night. This time of year I don't even consider it.

I love barefoot sleeping, but if Restless Leg Syndrome is bothering me, I wear compression knee socks to bed. I usually half-wake to peel them off in the middle of the night.

Funny you ask because I recently ordered an expensive skirt sent to DD. I threw in this nightshirt because it was hilarious and only $10 AND it came with matching socks.

If I sleep alone and it is not hot in the house, I can usually wear socks through the night. If my husband is home and sleeping with me I might start out with socks, but usually pull them off after a few hours because my husband usually sleeps against me.

Sometimes in the winter, but like others, I usually shed them at some point during the night. I just can't sleep if my toes are cold!

Never. I can't sleep with socks on. I hate wearing socks in general though. When I lived in AZ I think the only time I wore socks is when I was hiking, otherwise I lived in sandals...even during the "winter".

I can't stand to wear socks to bed. Then again, I usually can't stand to wear socks in general UNLESS I am also wearing shoes. Maybe I'm weird.

No socks for me at bedtime. I can't sleep with socks on. I feel like my feet are confined. The few times I have tried to sleep with socks on, I find them on the floor beside the bed in the morning .

In the winter I wear wool socks. I usually end up kicking them off in the night, but I can't get to sleep if my feet are cold.

I can't stand anything on my feet or legs. I wear nightshirts or nightgowns, but I never wear pajamas or socks.

I'm hot natured, so I never wore socks to bed. However, I have neuropathy in my feet, and they really bother me at night. My podiatrist suggested that in addition to taking medication in the evening, I also put lotion on my feet and sleep in socks. The aloe infused socks feel cooler to me. It has helped my feet feel better, but now I usually sleep with no covers at all. I used to just out my feet under the covers.

No socks unless it's cold or I have lotion on my feet. Definitely no underwear to bed.

Nope. I can't stand to wear pajama pants or socks in bed, but the second I get out of bed I put them on.

I think the only time I make an exception is if I'm sick and have chills.

No socks unless I am super cold which doesn't happen in AZ much. Even then I kick them off after awhile.

I have absolutely no consistency to what I wear to bed. It 100% depends upon weather, my circulation at the moment, temp of the house, how tired I am, what's clean in my drawers, how dry my skin is, what sheets are on the bed, what I anticipate the morning to be like, whether the cat is seeming like she wants to sleep in the bed too, and/or what signals I want to send to DH that evening .

I wear socks to bed every night. I guess I don't like my feet to touch each other. I also don't like my legs rubbing against each other so I wear pants too.

Gromit you are funny

I'm hot natured and use the A/C and the fans in the winter. I sleep better in a cold room. But there's something about my socks and feet that love each other, go figure.

I only wear socks to bed if I'm really, really cold, so...only a couple of times per year.

I do not and its weird now that you mention it because I hate going barefoot outside (except by the pool or on the beach) or in the house, but I am not sure I could even fall asleep with my socks on. I love the feel of the sheet against my bare feet.
