Pa, 94 years young, caught the red-bellied woodpecker that flew into my BFF’s house while the door was propped open for a delivery!

other day. Love the scenery, especially in fall! Took this from a moving vehicle, so it almost looks like a painting.

sbslab - Is that your grandfather? How does one catch a woodpecker? Amazing!

sbslab - that is so cool! I tried to snap of picture yesterday of a woodpecker, but he got away before I could get it.
This is from a hike at a preserve about 20 min away that I never knew existed.

My ride to work is about 20 minutes. I have to drive around two different lakes. If I could boat to work, it would only be a 5 minute ride!

I love the drive, though, especially this time of year when the leaves are popping! Even though it is a gray day, I took a moment to soak in the beauty!

Love ALL your pics. Photo Friday is such a treat for me.

This young man is 27. He contacted me Wednesday (out of the blue, I haven’t heard from him in many, many years) and arranged to come visit yesterday because he was in San Diego for 24 hours. He is a Stanford graduate who now lives & works in S„o Paulo. We talked nonstop for 90 minutes. Our connection? Long ago 500 miles away, he was my 3rd grade student.

I went to the zoo (limited time stamped admission, masks, 1 way route). It was so nice to get out and see the animals.

I love Photo Friday!

Barb - my bulldog is afraid of all the Halloween decorations in our neighborhood!

OK, I'd be afraid to catch a bird! Go Pa! And he looks great!

Amiga - how special was this visit!!!

Choppie - I'd think I'd boat to work!

Thanks for sharing everyone.

I love the pictures this week!

Yesterday I got flowers from a former coworker. She was my work wife for a few years, but she left teaching last year. We still stay in touch, and she sent me flowers to let me know she was thinking of us.

I love all these photos.

I have walked on this trail many times but only recently noticed this rock face.

I love all the pretty autumn pictures, Jai is always a cutie, that bird catcher! and Amiga I love that story! This is DH's box at work. It's proof he isn't a complete disorganized slob everywhere. But it cracks me up that he was so proud of having an organized space that he had to take a picture.

Dd and fiance ( who is from the UK) plan to marry in April 2022. They plan to move to the UK next summer. This week they chose the Cotswold House and Hotel in Chipping Camden, which basically looks like it's right out of Midsomer Murders haha :-) it is the most picturesque part of the Cotswolds. It's about an hour from his parents house.
