Need 2020 gift suggestions

I think I'm going to give my parents and brother & SIL a "2020 Survival Kit"....all those things that were high priority in 2020 and we were all on the lookout for. (Plus, none of us need anything and my parents will actually USE the things in the box.) I've got my own thoughts of the obvious items, like TP, Kleenex, Clorox, etc., but what would you include? And what would be a better name than "survival kit" since we've made it this far through the year?

Mouthwash is on the list now.

Maybe add something fun like some reading materials or sudoku puzzles.

Some nice masks.
Personal size hand sanitizers (and a big bottle to refill them).
The Plague by Camus...0r some other appropriate book, depending on taste
A board game or card game

If they have particular hobbies, there might be items that are hard to find...for example, if your mom bakes, yeast has been scarce...also canning lids...

A favorite drink (bottle of wine? Craft beer? Hot cocoa mix?)

In addition to what others suggested:

Laundry detergent
Jigsaw puzzles (if they like that sort of thing)
Chocolates or their favorite snacks (nut mixes maybe?)

What a great idea!
You could have so much fun building the contents of the box.

Years ago David Letterman did his Top 10 Lists.
The box could be called something like
The Top 10 Picks of 2020
or
The Top 20 Picks of 2020.

or
Dawnei's 2020 Top 10

I had trouble getting peanut butter early on, and have had trouble again recently.

Also, elastic was hard to find because of all the mask sewing.

Disposable gloves
Mini hand sanitizer that clips on to your key chain
Dish soap (this was surprisingly hard to find in stores near me)
Hand soap
Hand cream to help with dry skin due to constant hand washing

What a great idea, dawnmei. Would your family also appreciate "isolation" entertainment such as puzzles, games or crafts?

I think I might make a 2020 family survival basket. It might be fun, yet useful.

Great idea! I love what people have come up with.

I would add:

Pandemic board game
Diet Dr. Pepper (we are having difficulty finding that)

How about a gift card to a favorite restaurant that provides delivery or curbside service? I would like to add the suggestion to use a local restaurant as they are struggling so. Iíve done this in the past by calling the local restaurant and having them send me a gift card.

I'll add wine and books to the list. Those weren't necessary hard to find, but are things to enjoy and keep you busy while in quarantine. Same with gift cards for take out restaurants.

These are all such great ideas!

*masks with favorite team logo
*splurge on coffee or tea
*favorite candy or snacks

During the hoarding phase, we couldn't find our favorite popcorn. It's nice to have it on hand.

Great idea! You could get gift cards to local businesses. They still need us.
