I need a lesson plan to go for fractions. Possibly about a 20 minute lesson....I'm being observed next week and we're working on fractions. I teach 4th grade. Too exhausted to come up with another cool lesson (we're doing fraction candy this week).

TIA!

What are you doing with fractions? Comparing? Equivalents? Adding? I am planning a fraction unit now and would be happy to share what I am doing if you give me a little more info about what you are looking for.

Do you have an interactive whiteboard?

I've got one observation on Tuesday that I"m not looking forward to and another one scheduled for next Friday. I have to turn in my lesson plans for that lesson by this Friday (a whole week early).

So, anything you've got that you wouldn't mind sharing would be entirely welcomed. We're doing all of the things you mentioned...

TIA!

I have a couple smart notebooks that I could share with you...also, do you have your students make fringe fractions?

The smart notebooks are too big to upload on here. PM me and we'll work something out.

What are fringe fractions? I've never heard of those before.

Here is my grade four unit on Fractions. Most is from Marilyn Burn's unit on Fractions, great resource. I have a grade five one too if you need extensions.

Someone on PT shared this fraction lesson earlier. Maybe it is something you can use.
