which e reader?

Have any of you been using ereaders and which one would you recommend (for personal and for student use)? I am just getting into the ereader world, wanting to purchase one for myself and recommending one for my students. Which one is it easier to get kids' books titles for, or does it not matter?

Thanks!

My brother uses a Kobo and he likes it. Mind you he uses it for casual reading and his university studies, not for elementary student book titles. I've been told that as a Canadian it's hard to get or use a Kindle due to the licensing related to it in Canada (aka less book options and more expensive - you may need an American address/credit card to buy for Kindle). Other than those two options I don't know what else is out there.... Sorry I'm not more help!

I have Kindle and I'm in Ontario. I have never had any problems purchasing books through Amazon. It's the only e reader I have had so I can't compare but I do love mine .

I love the Kobo function on my Blackberry Playbook.

Why not go ALL CANADIAN and get a Playbook?

As far as any e-reader, I don't think the technology is useful for instruction. I think i's too difficult to go back into the text and look for specific details, evidence, etc.
