warning message about PT

Several of you have posted in the past about security concerns with this site. I've had the not secure symbol for a while but have just recently gotten the warning that my security system is blocking potentially dangeous or suspicious sites whenever I go past PT's home page.

I'm not paranoid about the safety of this site, but I wonder why the owners and management make so little effort to keep it updated. Are they just letting it wind down? If you understand how these things work, I'd appreciate your input.

I have no idea what person or entity is responsible for this website.

I have a website and there is something called SSL which makes a website https. It's free from the hosting service I use and I just have a teeny website. I don't understand why this website or any other website wouldn't make their site https rather than http.

Does anyone get a response from the admin here anymore? I sent them a PM but haven't gotten a reply. They used to be very good about responding.

I wonder if the board has changed hands. The Editors used to engage with posters via posts, hold fun raffle games, and do holiday greeting reveals. All of that is gone.

I did get a reply to the PM I sent them several weeks ago about the “not secure” message. I did not keep their PM to quote from but basically since PT does not ask for any personal or financial information, the “not secure” is nothing to worry about. Given the response from eeza that changing the address to https is not difficult, it seems PT could make the change rather easily.

Copyright date

A while back, I noticed that the copyright date at the bottom of the page has not been updated since 2017.

After Phil (the programmer) left, there was less interaction between the posters and the “editors”. I wonder if George (the designer) sold the site to someone else?
