Real id appointment #3

I had to go to dmv to renew my temporary drivers license since it expires next week and my special behind the wheel test isnít until the end of the month I got there 30 minutes early - no traffic. The security guard made me stand in line outside on an appointment line. When my time came up I told him but he said I have to wait my turn with everyone else. 40 minutes later in 94 degrees I was allowed in. The check in clerk yelled at me for missing my appointment and said I would need to reschedule. I had a screaming hissy fit. She called the supervisor. The supervisor spoke to the security guard who confirmed my story and they let me proceed. All this for a temporary renewal that took 30 seconds to complete.

I have to go back again in two weeks. I think I will bring my beach chair with shade umbrella

I hate the DMV. Trained in rudeness. I’m sorry about but not surprised by your treatment. Good for you for sticking with it.

O. M. G. I'd be livid. I'm glad you were able to get your appointment. That is so ridiculous and unnecessary. An extra hour wasted that shouldn't have been. I'm sorry

Good for you for standing up for yourself! It sounds like the security guard was on some kind of power trip.

I had a similar experience at the social security office last week. So no fun.
